How Important is Your Logo Design to Your Business?

5/23/2013

Most often than not, businesses owners perceive their company logo design as an item on the check list to get done when starting out on their new venture or launching a new company. Usually considerable care, time and effort are invested in coming up with the perfect business name, which is great! The right name is the foundation stone of a great brand. If you are on this path of starting a new business, then this article would definitely make you pause and think.

Next, they need to get a logo to go with the name. If the business owner has some experience with computers or graphics software or sometimes, even MS Word, they may be tempted to hash out a design themselves. In some cases, a friend, relative or friend of a friend may have some experience with graphic design, and the business owner may simply give them the opportunity to come up with something “awesome”. In yet other cases, the business owner may be tempted to visit a crowdsourcing website and let 100s of “designers” bid for their business by submitting a lof of logo design concepts. All these stem from the desire to spend as little as possible on the logo design.

Branding Yourself for Internet Marketing

9/10/2012

Picture
The thing about branding is that you do not want to brand yourself with everything. The best thing is to brand yourself with one or possibly two things. The best thing is really one. Some people we work with are branded as a master marketer online. So you brand yourself with the pay per click technique and that is what you stick with, not to say you cannot master anything else or teach anybody anything else, but people are always going to know you for that one thing. So that is branding. Now for longevity. When you have those brandings you can always create new products, things are always changing and evolving in marketing online, things get better, things could get outdated or not as useful anymore.

Because you have that branding you can always be updating your branding on that product or come out with new products on that type of scenario to generate income. If you are in the home based business industry, that is just another income stream. Now, in this industry when you lead people or jump from program to program, if a person did that, at least tell the people in the other program that you are in, hey I am moving on to another program, be honest with people. When you do not do that it just kills your branding and kills your business online. Pretty soon nobody is going to trust you and when you say I am going to do this, I am doing this opportunity right now nobody is going to trust you. They are going to think that you are just going to take my money, leave me there and move on to the next opportunity and do not really care about me anyway. You do not return my phone calls or emails or even do what you said you were going to do.

The reason I joined you is because you said you were going to teach me about this business and you did not. So that loses your branding. When you brand yourself, again you can put that on your lead capture page, you can have it in your header graphics, you can have it under your picture, you can have it throughout your sales or newsletter, and you can have it at the bottom of your emails. If you write a newsletter on it you can call the newsletter that type of branding. If you do conference calls you start off, I am, and then your branding title, whatever branding you have, you can start the conference calls that way. Everything you do, if you write eBooks you can continue that throughout the book and at the end of the eBook when you do the signature or your picture, you put that branding there under it.

Now, branding does not happen overnight, it can happen quickly, but not overnight. Depending on when you get your branding and how much branding you do after that point, it depends on how many on the internet get to know you for that one thing. I absolutely think and know for a fact that branding creates business longevity. It is only from your own personal branding, because you are an expert at something, all the way to your business practice on branding yourself and how you practice business, whether you are ethical or unethical or however it might be, it creates a branding of yourself. If you are an ethical person you are branded for that. Whether you even tell people that you are ethical or people just realize it and it just becomes your branding.

Whether you do everything you say you are going to do or follow through with everything,  that becomes your branding. If you hop from program to program you become branded as a program hopper. If you send out emails twice a week you soon become branded on that email list. You send out two emails a week and you do that consistently every week, people expect it, you become branded for that. When you stop doing that people are like, are you going to send out anymore emails, that becomes your branding. These are unique things that can create business longevity for yourself. Without it you will not have a long lasting business. You will always be worried in your business where your next commission or sales is going to come from.

Personal Brand Marketing vs. Traditional Marketing

8/14/2012

Picture
Your online marketing efforts can bring, literally, millions of people to your door simply by adding your personal touch with a Personal Branding Marketing campaign.

Now how do you go about doing it?

1. Video Because Moving Images Sell.  YouTube has given us, as internet marketers, a level playing field by providing us their FREE platform to host our videos.

2. A Relationship Building Website . You can create a website or hire a web designer to create one for you.  On your website you will acquaint visitors about what it is you have to offer them. They will either like your energy and return for more information or they will keep searching for someone whom they relate to.  The whole purpose of your website however, is to create a relationship with your visitors.

3. Get Personal. People like to buy from people so it is important when someone goes to your website, and opts-in for more information,  you send them a “personalized” thank you email and then follow up with a personal phone call.  You separate yourself from all the other marketers when you practice this.

Traditional Marketing efforts, on the other hand, are more arduous and almost always very costly to say the least!  Advertising space in magazines, newspapers, brochures, T.V., etc could cost you well into the hundreds of thousands of dollars and the ROI is still just a hope and a prayer away.

Traditional Marketing is very generic in its approach as the reach is extremely broad.  The personal touch is not present when you are sending your message out to millions of people in the hopes they see a value in your offerings.

Take a close look at how your business can profit by implementing Personal Branding campaigns.

And remember Tuxedo Branding is here to help you!!

Web Branding 101: What Is It?

8/3/2012

Picture
Although the Internet is a ubiquitous Corporate communications and sales channel many companies are still not utilizing much of its power. That could be because of loyalties to comfortable old channels or that there aren’t enough Internet marketing experts to take their brands into the digital realm.

Regardless of the hold-ups in leveraging internal or external Internet communications options, consumer and B2B channels are growing their share of the market. Resistance is futile and with this change in how consumers and B2B buyers are reached, is a change in the symbolism, voice, and style of promoting brands. That doesn’t necessarily mean the Internet can’t play a supporting role for your offline or TV advertising. For many campaigns, the Internet is just another conduit for sales videos and corporate brochures. Some are satisfied with this, however the Internet’s own power to communicate and generate business shouldn’t be underestimated.

The Internet, whether through public websites, search engines, Internet radio broadcasts, and e-mail is very targeted. It is shown to reach the right target at the right time with the right message. It doesn’t matter what approach to your online advertising and promotion you choose, it will find the right target market - if you know how to look. You need to be there any way you can. It’s too important to let it slide.

Internet branding ( aka web branding) are terms in increasing usage because branding can be adapted to be effective on the Internet. That’s different from broadcasting your TV video ad or showing your marketing brochure on your website. With Internet branding, you’re taking into consideration that viewers have searched around and seen many other products similar to yours. They may have reviewed many more product or service features than they would think about while watching television or casually reading a magazine.

Your customer’s context then is different. The splashy video display generally isn’t there and that's good because few people are interested in seeing it. They’re pressured for time and want to find what they’re looking for. If you understand their quest for knowledge, you can better shape your value proposition and even your sales pitch.

iPix Brandcast: Give Your Brand Personality

7/20/2012

Do you know what separates your brand from your competition? Well if you don't your customers probably don't either.

With a personality, you’re more memorable than bland competitors.

Stand for something that will set you apart. Stand for something specific (not something vague like "quality") helps your company say “So what?” to all the competition.

Be faster, longer-lasting, more traditional, more fashionable, more child-friendly, organic, more international, etc. When you put this difference front and center in your company name and tag line, you become the best and possibly even the only choice for your target market.

Branding & Customers' Perceptions

7/15/2012

Picture
Branding is about a customer’s perception.  When you want to create a brand you want to create the perception that you are the best; provide quality; or maybe even more in the customer’s mind. This is how you build brand loyalty.

It is important to have a good idea of what the customers currently think of you when you are building a branding campaign. Do they know you? Do they know what your company provides? Do they understand your services? Have they heard of your products? Today customers may not know that you exist or they may have a negative feel for your business industry because they may have been exposed to a company not practicing proper methods.  In order to combat this you must first have a clear understanding of exactly how and what customers think of you.

If you are unsure what the customers think then you will need to send out surveys and questionnaires.  These types of things can help you get a good idea where you stand in the customers’ mind’s eye. Allow them to be brutally honest, not just about your company but about your industry as a whole. Ask them about their experiences. And don’t just ask your customers put it out there through your social media that you are looking for help from anyone who’s ever thought of using a service or buying a product from your industry. Ask them to take your survey or answer your questionnaire. You might even offer them a discount coupon just for doing it.

You see, not only will you find out items you need to fix but you’ll be establishing yourself in the minds of these customers who may use your coupon to purchase from you. If the feedback is bad, it’s okay.  It will give you something to build on with your branding campaign.

Good luck with your branding.

What is Branding Anyway?

7/8/2012

Branding is the visual image of a business, product or service. It is the image that demonstrates a business’ mission, passion and vision. It is a concept that embodies everything that business, product or service offers to the target audience. The concept doesn't only include emblems and logos but also the symbol of the quality perceived.  The success of a company can be determined by a brand. Consumers trust wholeheartedly a corporate image because there is a psychology in motivating the purchasing decisions.

Branding includes many factors which help a company be successful, they include a website, marketing efforts, and anything that gives a company an identity.  The purpose of a brand is to distinguish yourself from your competitors. Once you make a distinguishing impact then an advertising campaign can be much more effective.

This is why it is important for all companies, both on and offline to practice branding. It is because of a lack of understanding that it has become common for small companies and online businesses to fail due to a lack of understanding about the importance and factors of a good brand. What small business owners should understand first is that branding ensures professionalism with a company.  It seals the deal on an entire package.  A small company with a brand looks just as good as a large corporation when they practice the right techniques.

Brands enhance your confidence as a business owner but also in the consumers that you really can deliver what you promise.  Branding offers consistency with a business.  It gives direction so customers know what to expect.  Brand consistency includes visibility techniques that are professional and will remain in the memory of a consumer. Consistency can be performed through the use of things like business cards, t-shirts, and more.

5 Ways to Grab Your Target Market Attention on FaceBook

7/7/2012

Picture
These simple steps will provide such value that will make you instantly recognizable and remembered by all your Facebook friends.

The problem with Facebook is almost everyone adds new friends based on Facebook's suggested friends. There is hardly ever any communication between each other and you have just added another person who is trying to pitch you their products. This is how you can have 1000 friends and find people with 700 friends in common.

Facebook is very impersonal now and was never designed to be that way. It is much the same as Twitter in that it gets very little conversion to leads and sales because there is so much spam.

That is, of course, if you are doing what 97% of the people on Facebook are doing.

But, here is your chance to do something to stand out from the crowd and generate hundreds of leads from your Facebook followers.

Step 1.
Work on your profile. Put as much detail as possible about you and your family and likes and dislikes. This gives people a chance to relate to you in some way.

This is not a place to pitch your business, but should have a call to action to learn more about you from your blog.

You website URLs. should be displayed on the side. You are working at making personal connections and establishing relationships. If people like you, they will be more interested in finding out what you do.

Step 2.
Join groups that relate to what you are marketing. If you are trying to find people interested in Attraction Marketing, then look for groups filled with these people. If you are interested in selling to soccer fans, join groups about soccer.

Step 3.
Send a personal welcome VIDEO when people join you on Facebook. This way, you become a "real" person, rather than a picture and a message. If you do this, you become instantly different than 99% of people on Facebook and stand out as personable.

Step 4.
Send a birthday video to the people on the list on their birthday. Sing them happy birthday, or leave a funny message that captures their attention. There is no selling here, but you can almost guarantee that they will go to your profile and see what you are all about and will recognize you from that point on as the person who sent them a funny birthday video.

Step 5.
Create your own groups. By having a group following you can send your message out to hundreds or possibly thousands of people at one time, rather than message them individually. It is like having an email list, but it can be a lot more responsive if you are providing value. A great theme is how to make more money and create leads using Facebook. You know all your followers are going to need that knowledge.

The whole point of these steps are to be recognized as someone different in the mess that is Facebook. It is a extremely valuable tool if you are using the right tactics and you will get far better results when you become a real person instead of a spammer. It's all about the relationship. I could make more money from a list of 200 people that I have a relationship with and see me as a likable person who provides value than you could with a list of 2000 people who don't recognize you, or worse yet, recognize you as a spammer.

One final bonus step.
Take five minutes a few times throughout the day and hit "like" or leave comments on the posts you like and agree with. The more response a post gets, the higher it is ranked and it shows up on the Newsfeed as something worth looking at. This is great for plugging your industry, so don't be afraid to leave positive feedback on other people's posts that are selling the same thing as you. Don't look at them as competition. Look at them as partners.

For instance, if I am marketing TVI as my main business, I would look for other people marketing TVI as well and leave them good feedback. As so many of us have the same friends in common it promotes my business on the newsfeed that goes out to everyone. When people see me leaving positive comments and the business always getting recognition and always on their newsfeed they will look more into it. Now, who do you thing they are going to sign up with if they like the opportunity? The guy who is spamming the business, or the one who sent them a funny birthday video?
